Compassion and tolerance are not a sign of weakness, but a sign of strength
- Dalai Lama
Sri Aurobindo
‘The Divine does not need to suffer or struggle for himself; if he takes on these things it is in order to bear the world-burden and help the world and men;’ – Sri Aurobindo
Sri Aurobindo left his body on December 5, 1950. The Body was laid to rest in the Samadhi after four days, on December 9, 1950. The body did not show any sign of decay or decomposition during this period. A few saw a golden spiritual light around the body.

Desire into Aspiration
Desire may give us the initial impetus to action, but when it starts to rule, it only hurls us towards confusion, stress and misery. On the other hand, Aspiration, lit by an inner psychic flame turned upwards, keeps us aligned to our true purpose. NAMAH has organized the 6-day online workshop, from 6-11 December, 2021, to understand the transformation of desires into aspiration.
Golden Fortnight with Educational Training by Svarnim team

Our Responsibility to Children (ORC) is a comprehensive positive mental health program for school children which has already scribed many inspiring success stories. In a drive for continuous improvement, the ORC team underwent a focused training with highly-skilled experts from Kerala. Animation Film – Sri Aurobindo A New Dawn
Studio Eeksaurus team visits Puducherry
The idea of the animation film – Sri Aurobindo: A New Dawn, was conceived sometime in November 2020. Owing to the pandemic, the project team (from Puducherry) and the film team (from Mumbai) had to work at their respective locations with the possibility of only online interactions. For the first time the film team and the project team met in Puducherry so that both could align their vision, for the emergence of a profound script for the film.
Here is a quick walk-through of the visit!
‘Sri Aurobindo: A New Dawn’ is not just an ordinary tale being told, it is an attempt to consciously relive a significant moment in history – a forgotten chapter in the history of reawakening of India (1893 – 1914) and represent it as a creative and inspirational film.

Offering in Humility and Gratitude
We have stepped into an important year on 15 August 2021 as it starts the 150th birth anniversary of Sri Aurobindo and the 75th year of India’s independence. This section is our humble offering to this momentous occasion. We will bring a few golden glimpses from the Master’s avataric life as well as a few glorious achievements of independent India.
Our Simple Sri Aurobindo
To serve Sri Aurobindo was in one way quite easy, for he would never make any demands on us, was content with the main necessities being met and would never express any displeasure if we failed him.

This very easiness kept us alert, for one who didn’t ask for more than the bare minimum, needed a careful, vigilant watch so that he could be given a little more comfort and ease. Champaklal kept that vigilant eye always. He was more familiar with Sri Aurobindo’s nature and temperament by love and long experience and felt his needs on his very pulse. If he saw that Sri Aurobindo needed some side pillows, he got them made; if his footstool was a bit high or low, he adjusted it to the required height. He put a time-piece by his side, for he knew that Sri Aurobindo was in the habit of frequently seeing the time. Such small things that would pass unnoticed because our imaginative perception was perhaps dull, were caught by his sensitive insight and he tried to make “happy and comfortable” the life of the impersonal Brahman. Sri Aurobindo, when he sat on the edge of the bed and had to wait long for the Mother’s arrival, seemed to feel drowsy; his body would lean backwards and would then right itself. Still, he would not ask for any assistance — but this, not from any sense of egoism. He would put up with any inconvenience but if we offered him some help, he did not refuse it. Readers’ Column
This has been a space where you become the presenter and we, simply the platform, to take your creations to the world. You lead, we follow. You speak, we listen. You create, we behold. This is the space, where we blend our identities and become one.Sushmita, our reader (and almost our partner-in-crime), takes us to the very foundational question of our existence. You will find the echoes of her queries amongst your own.
“Why, why…”
“Why, why…?” is a perpetual murmur and cry, a clamour within and without… which we can hardly defy and inevitably cannot deny.
And finally, moving through the course and discourse, cursive and discursive of this existence that we loosely and broadly call ‘life’, it seems that ‘why’ too itself personifies. It too asks, alike and akin to us, ‘Why am i?”

Interestingly, the answer too, that it gets, is similar to that that we get… “There is a meaning in each curve and line.” (1) ‘Why’, is, till it no longer is, till it no longer can be: when the very reason for what it is, is no more, as what it asks has met its answer. And yet, like the soul, in-between the two physical lifetimes, it rests, albeit maybe much more transiently: as and when the answer, received, leads to and yields another ‘why’! Such is the programming of the Divine that the window becomes wider and wider, necessitating the previous answer to out of that window fly, paving the way for the new or pushed out by the new… That what we see, either we see no more or in it something more and new we see… and most oft a staunch and stark contrast to the previously seen, both true in their own place and time, and even coexistent… “Among the most precious things in life are those you do not see with physical eyes.” (2) Revealed is the line forming the curve and the curve concealed in the line… And so, in this journey with ‘why’, a stage arrives when one feels, inexplicably and yet undeniably: The very instance of the birth of ‘why’ signifies the hidden knowledge that, innately, there is Something and Someone to be found, not on the Surface and yet forming the Surface too, the All-forming and All-exceeding, converting the ‘good’ to ‘bad’, an answer to a non-answer… There is That: Self-hiding, Self-seeking, Self-revealing, Self-finding, Self-realising. That is why, is ‘why’… When That is found, maybe, just maybe, ‘why’ too shall not be… as is with the individual who gets the answer to his “Why am i?”… and is somehow able to integrally and irreversibly surrender to That. He gets the answer: “i am, so that i no longer am…” And for that, is ‘why’ in its entirety and whence the cry, answered by the Call to humanity: O Being, “Annul thyself that only God may be.” (3) And prays humanity, implores, hence, to the All-Someone-Something, God: Let it be so. How else can so it be? References: Sushmita
